A quotation from a real, though unnamed, local high school’s dress code:
“*hair must be clean, no longer than collar length for boys…so that it does not call undue attention to the student, and with natural hair colors only.
*All students must wear shoes. Bedroom slippers are not permitted.
*Tight-fitting clothing is not permitted. As a guideline, there should be discernable slack/space between clothing and body.
*Advertising of alcoholic beverages, bands, or inappropriate, blasphemous, obscene or suggestive slogans, pictures, or the Chicago Cubs on clothing is not permitted.”
